The Centre of Excellence for Road Safety (CoERS) from IIT Madras conducted an impactful workshop at the NCC Training Academy in Nagrota, focusing on road safety awareness and encouraging safe driving practices among NCC cadets.
An official spokesperson said this initiative, led by a team including Col Sanjiv Sharma (Retd), Himani Suri, Mr. Allan Winston, and Samuel Sathiyanathan, aimed to instill life-saving road safety habits.
The workshop addressed the alarming impact of road accidents, with the CoERS team emphasizing the need for responsible driving to prevent avoidable casualties. “Road safety is a collective responsibility,” the team stressed, highlighting how adherence to safety measures like wearing seat belts and respecting speed limits can reduce accidents significantly.
