Centre of Excellence for Road Safety (CoERS), RBG Labs, IIT Madras, is a think tank funded by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India. We provide guidance and expertise to various stakeholders, including state governments and industry bodies, on all aspects of road safety. Utilizing a multidisciplinary approach, we adhere to the principle of an Integrated Systems approach, focusing on the 5E’s: Engineering, Enforcement, Emergency, and Education, bolstered by Empathy (Human Factors). Our mission is to enhance road safety on both a national and global scale, with a firm commitment to saving lives.
We are looking for a Backend Developer.

Ability to lead the backend team and mentor other teammates
Ability to collaborate on projects and work independently when required
Ability to integrate multiple data sources into a single system

Eligibility Criteria:
5+ Years of Experience as Backend Developer or Full Stack Developer
Expertise in Core Python
Hands-on experience of Web Frameworks such as Flask, Sanic, Pandas and NumPy
Familiarity with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Hands-on experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs
Basic knowledge of AI, ML and Data science
Hands on experience using Git Hub
