At the conclusion of the first physical training-cum-workshop for Sadak Suraksha Mitra (SSM) volunteers in Faridabad (March 16–18, 2026), Secretary MoRTH Shri V Umashankar called upon youth volunteers to prioritize prevention over post-accident response. Organized by CoERS-IIT Madras, the workshop trained 53 volunteers from 5 states to support District Road Safety Committees through first response, audits, and grassroots action toward zero fatalities.
